This big magnolia tree appears to have the same trunk girth -- suggesting it's the same age -- as the magnolia in front of City Hall that was recently saved from destruction by the <a href="http://oldenwilde.org/oldenwilde/activism/magnolia_intro.html">Parkside proposal</a>. Archive photos confirm the City Hall tree is 90-100 years old, so this tree could have been planted at the same time.
