1). Tolliver's Crossing Irish Pub "would LOVE to have us" debut our Mummer's Play at their West Asheville pub this Friday, Oct. 21! Please join us for this final dress rehearsal before Samhain, at 733 Haywood Rd. (corner of Brevard Rd.), around 8 pm. 

 

2). The T.V. channel WSPA in S.C. wants to interview us for their

popular program "Scene on 7", to clear up misconceptions about Witchcraft. We're working on squeezing an interview date into our busy Samhain schedule.

* Our public rituals and interviews with media and academia introduce thousands each year to the beauty, antiquity and validity of the Olde Religion (and ensure that Asheville remains what the fundamentalist N.C. congressman who recently introduced an anti-gay-marriage constitutional amendment characterized as a "cesspool of sin"!). 

* Our advocacy and counseling help thousands of Pagan and Pagan-friendly families, prisoners, and seekers each year (including desperately suicidal folks who have literally called Lady Passion while standing on a ledge or holding a cocked gun to their own heads). 

* Our eco-activism backs up our teachings with our deeds, and has earned us a potent reputation with government officials as "civic-minded and persistent" (that's their description of us that we heard about just today!)

 

We do all this and more around the clock because these services are ever more urgently needed -- not because they net us a string of mansions or a fleet of Mercedes, like certain notorious preachers and gurus. We live on a shoestring -- when we can afford shoes ;-) -- and although we ask for donations from those we help, we don't require them, since to do so would violate both magical and mundane law. Still, it does cost us about $1000 a month to keep the candles on in the Covenstead, not to mention some major unavoidable medical bills we are imminently facing.
